Symptoms

  • The request fails instantly rather than after a wait.
  • Other pages in the app may also stop responding to actions.

Likely causes

  • The machine briefly lost its connection — a suspended laptop or a Wi-Fi handover is enough.
  • A content blocker or privacy extension cancelled the request.
  • A VPN or DNS filter is intercepting traffic to the app.

How to fix it

  1. Confirm the connection and retry

    Reload the page. If the app itself fails to load, the problem is upstream of MCUHex.

  2. Disable blockers for this site

    Content blockers sometimes treat background requests as tracking and cancel them silently. Allow-list the site and try again.

  3. Try without the VPN

    If the upload succeeds off-VPN, the tunnel or its DNS is the cause and IT can allow-list the endpoint.
